What GradeShelf is

A free website that builds prompts you can paste into AI tools, and a directory of AI tools for teachers. We don't run the AI tools listed, and we aren't affiliated with them unless a listing says "Sponsored."

AI-generated content can be wrong

Quizzes, answer keys and explanations made by AI tools can contain mistakes: wrong answers, outdated facts, confusing wording or content that doesn't fit your students. You are responsible for reviewing anything AI produces before you use it with students. We make no guarantee that any prompt or AI output is accurate, complete, appropriate or aligned to a standard.

Tool listings

Directory facts come from each tool's own website on the date shown. Prices and features change, so check the tool's site before you buy or sign up. A listing is not an endorsement.

Don't enter student information

Don't type student names or other personal information into our forms or into prompts. See our Privacy page.

Using our prompts

You can use, edit and share the prompts on this site for teaching. Please don't copy the site itself wholesale.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses from using the site or AI output.
